Hortensia Herrero Foundation Scholarships

The Hortensia Herrero Foundation supports the Mediterranean Dance and Art Association (ADAM) with the aim of promoting dance training and knowledge, offering a total of 15 scholarships to participate in the VALENCIA DANZA International Campus organized by ADAM.

We would like to congratulate Raelle Marino on her brilliant participation in the Developpé Dantza competition, where she has been awarded a scholarship to attend the ADAM International Dance Campus this coming August in Valencia.

This recognition not only highlights her talent, dedication, and artistic sensitivity, but also confirms the enormous potential that the competition jury saw in her. The scholarship represents an exceptional opportunity to continue growing in an environment of excellence, exchange, and learning under the tutelage of internationally renowned professionals.

At the ADAM International Dance Campus, we reiterate our firm commitment to the training of young dancers, supporting spaces that foster technical, artistic, and personal development. We deeply believe in pedagogical guidance as a driving force for growth and in creating real opportunities that support emerging talent.

The Mediterranean Dance and Art Association (ADAM) collaborates annually with the Ballet Vale+ Project, an initiative that promotes inclusion through dance. We are proud to share an afternoon at the Campus, bringing dance to all members of the Campus and Ballet Vale+.

This initiative began thanks to the team of Esther Mortes (classical ballet teacher), Marcia Castillo (university professor and mother of a student), and Patricia Morán (engineer, physiotherapist, and dancer). It arose after learning the story of Gregg Mozgala, an American actor and dancer with cerebral palsy who, at age 32, achieved a spectacular physical improvement thanks to intensive dance training led by choreographer, filmmaker, and movement teacher Tamar Rogoff.

Masterclasses and international residencies

ADAM is reinforcing its commitment to the training and professional development of young dancers through the training and professional placements. This edition it will offer a day of Masterclasses with two Internationally recognized artists: Altea Nuñez and Ainara García.

Altea Nuñez is a Spanish dancer and choreographer trained at Victor Ullate School in Madrid and the Conservatory of The Hague. After three years with the Victor Ullate company, she joined the Royal Ballet of Flanders (2001-2013), where she was first soloist performing classical and neo-classical repertoire under directors like Robert Devers and Assis Carreiro, collaborating with choreographers such as Forsythe, Kylián and McGregor. In 2013 she began her choreographic career with success thanks to ‘Contigo’. Since then she has created over 10 works for international companies including Compañía Nacional de Danza and Ballet X Schwerin. Between 2017-2019 she taught ballet at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. In 2019 she was appointed Associate Artistic Director of Junior Ballet Antwerp, creating multiple works and premiering ‘Horizon’ in 2026. She also restaged ‘YU’ for the Paris Opera Ballet.

Ainara García trained at María de Ávila’s studio in Zaragoza and the Royal Conservatory in Madrid, graduating on a scholarship from the National Ballet School of Cuba in 1998, where she won the Silver Medal at the International Ballet Competition. Her professional career spanned eleven years with the Dutch National Ballet (1998-2009) under directors Wayne Eagling and Ted Brandsen, before moving to Ballet am Rhein in Düsseldorf with Martin Schläpfer. She performed an extensive classical and contemporary repertoire by choreographers including Balanchine, Forsythe, and Dawson. As a distinguished educator, she has taught at prestigious institutions like Codarts and the Henny Jurriëns Foundation, and served as ballet master for the production Narnia. Since 2017, she has been faculty at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam, combining her artistic legacy with training the next generation of dancers.

These residencies program not only recognize the talent and effort of the students, but also serve as a real tool for growth, stage experience, and guidance toward a professional future in dance.

New poster for Campus 2026

The ADAM International Dance Campus in Valencia has unveiled its new poster for the upcoming 2026 edition. As in previous years, the image was chosen from among the talented participants of the 2025 edition. As is our custom, we wanted to highlight one of the Campus participants, making them the central figure who embodies the effort, dedication, and passion for dance that define this annual event.

The photo shoot was conducted by our collaborator and photographer, Jesús Vallinas, whose artistic eye perfectly captured the essence and energy of the project. During an afternoon in August 2025, thanks to the collaboration of the ADAM faculty and management team, this new image was created and will accompany the Campus in the coming months. We hope you enjoy it.
